San Jose Murals 2020
In response to the killing of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor a number of murals were created throughout San Jose as a way of expressing solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and protesting police brutality and systemic racism.
While the murals were created in response to a tragic and traumatic event, they also served as a powerful reminder of the resilience and strength of the San Jose community. By coming together to create these works of art, people were able to express their feelings of anger, frustration, and hope, and to make a powerful statement about the need for change.
