The Rodin Sculpture Garden
Stanford University, Cantor Center in Palo Alto, CA, is home to an incredible collection of sculptures created by the legendary artist, Auguste Rodin. it is the largest collection of Rodin’s works outside of Paris, featuring over 20 masterpieces.

Auguste Rodin’s “The Three Shades”
“The Gates of Hell” Auguste Rodin was commissioned by the French government to create a set of bronze doors for a new museum in Paris. The doors were to be inspired by Dante Alighieri’s epic poem, “The Divine Comedy,” which tells the story of a journey through hell, purgatory, and paradise.The sculpture is incredibly complex and detailed, with each figure crafted to create a sense of depth and movement.The original door were never complteted.
Some of the most famous works in the Rodin Sculpture Garden include “The Thinker,” “The Burghers of Calais,” “The Kiss,” and “Eternal Springtime.”
