The Burning Man festival’s 2017 theme was “Radical Ritual”, which explored the power of ritual and its role in our lives. The festival encouraged participants to create art, , ritual processions, shrines, icons, temples, and visions that reflected on this theme.

Burning Man is permeated with rituals that speak of soulful need; the desire to belong to a place, time, one another, and something greater than ourselves, even in the midst of impermanence.
